Star CNC Presents New Swiss-Type Automatic Lathe Star CNC Machine Tool Co., announces another solution for 'one-and-done' in their vast line of 38mm sliding headstock lathes. The SX-38 uses slantbed construction to ensure rigidity for the turret mounted tooling. B-axis is a servo driven axis for positioning or surfacing for those difficult to generate designs. With the B-axis unit supported on both ends, heavier cuts are possible while maintaining fine finishes. When the part doesn't require a guide bushing, it can be removed allowing a maximum machining diameter of 42mm.
